Day 43 ( Second Lab Session )

Haha.. today thurs 2nd Oct 2008, i had my second lab session!
Eh.. using the scarpel to cut off the hypocotyl..Dipping the scarpel into high concentration of A. Tumefacian, we tried to cut a few times at the target region to introduce the bacteria into the seed. Next we sonicate the solution:
and vacuum the solution.. haha.. they say the sonication and the vacuum actually increase the efficiency of DNA uptake into the wounded seedlings~
Putting the seedling into our culture medium.. eh.. pai say ar.. we don't have the culture to wear gloves here.. LOL!!

And we don't have the culture to wear lab coat in this lab session.. haha!! Perhaps for other lecturers who are more strict, lab coat is compulsory? :P

Haha.. today is just another schooling day in Dong-A University. But tomorrow will be more exciting! A trip to Jinju for the lantern festival! Do look out for the next post!
